Jae Hill
Principal
Jae has over twenty years of experience in planning across the Western US. He’s mostly served in manager or director-level roles of planning departments in predominantly smaller towns and mountain communities like Tahoe, Sun Valley, Big Bear, and Alaska. Jae’s planning master’s thesis explored the climate change and affordable housing pressures facing mountain resort communities, which was later the subject of his 2016 TEDxSunValley talk.
Jae is currently undertaking at PhD at University College London in Sustainable Resources with an expected completion date in 2030.

Jae has served in a number of roles including: the Region V Commissioner for the American Planning Association’s AICP Commission, APA’s Idaho and Alaska state chapter board roles, as well as the Chair of the Mason County Economic Development Council, and the president of the Bay Hill and Springtree Homeowners Associations. He’s also the Lord of Blackham Manor, in East Sussex, United Kingdom.
